Sharon founded Hondenschool Jottem in 1995. She combines years of experience with a wide range of training and courses. With Aniday, she replaced her planning board and brought her student records together.
Sharon first worked as an executive secretary, then trained at the Martin Gaus Academy. She started the school at twenty-five. Alongside teaching, she also trained guide dogs. That experience deepened her interest in what dogs can mean to people and how to build that partnership.
Enjoyable training for people and dogs
Jottem has indoor and outdoor training spaces. From puppy classes to scent detection and hoopers, Sharon wants students to enjoy learning to work with their dogs. Contact with people matters to her just as much as the training itself.
Plan ahead without a planning board
After a demonstration, Sharon decided to start using Aniday. It took some getting used to, but she says the system became easier to work with over time. Student records are in one place, and she can schedule classes in advance.
The school offers both theory and practical classes. Clear communication matters: participants need to know where and when to attend and what information they need. With Aniday, Sharon can look ahead in the schedule and keep student records up to date. She no longer needs the planning board she used before.
Save time and keep moving
Sharon finds digital scheduling clearer and faster than her old approach. She also uses emails to share information about theory classes. When something went wrong on a few occasions, she says it was resolved quickly. She values that help and the updates about improvements.
